Programing in TomTom

Hello!

I need to know it is possible to write programs that interact with the TomTom.

I need that when I approach to a POI an event must be triggered and this event must be caught by a onboard PC. Something like the sound triggered near a radar but sent to an external device

Since I have to start from none I'm not care if the communication with the device is done via USB or BT, I just need to know if I can program TomTom and information about tools to do that.

Also I need to know what TomTom models can be programmed, if any.

Best regards.

Luis

There used to be a sdk kit offered by TomTom to developers of 3rd party apps for TomTom units. But, with the latest application release, 3rd party apps don't work.

I know of no way for you to accomplish whatever you want to do.

The best you could hope for would be to just trigger a normal sound file POI warning on the TomTom, feed that to a line output, and get the PC to monitor that.

Simple but it would work.
