problem with gprs connection

Hi to all I am new to forum.My problem is I can not connect my tomtom720 to my T-Mobile G-600 it searches for data shows that the phone is linked via bluetooth requests certain questions including which network and only gets to 65% and then times out.Now I am using this to update mobile cameras etc any ideas would be gratefully received...Thanks in antisipation I am a UK user and I can use the phone connected with the 720 to make hands free phone calls so I know there is a connection
