Premium Service charges

My Paypal account has recently been charged £34.99 by TomTom for £34.99 for "Premium Services" (I have a GO Expert Plus 7"). I discovered that this is a recurring charge, seemingly requested by me on TomTom account. I have "lifetime maps" with my model so can't see any reason to need "Premium Services", but maybe I'm wrong?

Getting through to a human being at TomTom to discuss the matter is impossible. Can anyone please help?
 
Premium Services includes a subscription to radars, fuel price information, and weather information.
 
Thank you, I definitely don't require that service and have cancelled any repeat payments. I could do with getting a refund for the payment I've just made (I haven't yet downloaded the software onto my device) but I can find no way of doing that; the Chatbot is useless.
 
GO Expert requires a subscription to receive speed camera alerts.

Thank you, but that procedure just goes round in circles. It says I can't get a refund if it's a "downloadable service", so basically, I've been shafted. I love my TomTom but if nobody is interested in engaging with you there anymore then it'll be time for me to find another product next time I'm looking for a Sat Nav.
 
Subscriptions are always renewed automatically; it was up to you to cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription.

You say you don't need this service?
Go Expert Plus 7" only has 2 years of free updates after purchase.
 
Not worried about radar updates, but I do worry about not being able to discuss things with a human being at TomTom. I'm not a luddite, I just think that Chatbot doesn't do the job in this situation. When I purchased the Sat Nav I talked to a human being, albeit online.

I've been trying for days now to contact a human being, but just keep going round in circles with the dreaded Bot.

Can you try?
When you're logged in, and not before, tap Contact Us in the bottom right corner.
The support box will appear at the bottom with a message option.

Type Contact or Chat in the box.

If chat is available, i.e., during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, you should have the option to tap Live Chat.

If it's an after-hours chat, you should be offered a messaging option.
 
Still no human being, so keep going round in circles with the Bot. I says that I can have a refund but wants me to download the software (that I don't want) onto my device. Surely, if I download the software, I won't be eligible for the refund?
