TomTom Model(s)
Spark 3
Hello everyone, I hope that I am posting this my first message in not only the correct section of this forum but also the correct part of the TomTom community for it relates to changes in my recorded heart rate on my Spark 3 (running) watch.

I have used this watch for years and the results of same are pretty consistent. However, since recovering from COVID, my heart rate as recorded on this watch has been off the scale, though I feel pretty good and can run as far (though slightly slower than I normally do). My perceived exertion is only a bit higher.

Whilst I await my appointment with a cardiologist I was wondering if anyone else has noticed an elevated heart rate post COVID. Because I still feel pretty good when running I also wonder if there is a flaw in my watch after years of reliable service. I don't feel a strong need to replace same.

Any thoughts / observations will be gratefully received.

Happy holidays etc

Hello
TomTom has not done anything with watches for more than two years. You will probably have to buy something new from the competition.
Wish you happy holidays
Greetings Bembo

Tomtom watches often were off a bit until sweat helped with the light tracker.

The first to go in my watch was the battery, the entire time the heart rate remained accurate, untill I switched for a samsung.

I suggest borrowing a known good watch from a friend and see if it matches the TT, my guess is the watch is fine and covid changed your HR.

I do heartrate based cardio training and did a week of 25%, week of 50%, week of 75% to ease back into workputs after covid. And even at 100% heartrate I was going 75% the speed after a month, so mine was elevated too. Took about 3 months to feel normal again. Covid is very hard on the heart and elevated HR is something pretty typical.

TomTom no longer does anything with watches.
I think you should buy something else.
Too bad but that's the way it is.
