NAV4 TomToms use MyDrive software and don't appear as a regular drive on a PC for file management. Is there any chance of extracting some voices (GO 6000) and get the files from it (which I believe should be .CHK)? There is a human voice that I want to put on another (older, NAV2) TomTom and I cannot find downloads for it online.

No, it's not possible to extract a voice file on the GO 6000.
For your Nav2, you must have voices available in your TomTom Home account.

You also have voices here https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/navigation/maps-services/navigation-voices/

The format for voices has changed since the Nav2 days, so nothing available for Nav4 would be recognized on a Nav2 device, even if we could extract the file, which we can't.

Another place you might want to look for old voices is here:
There's a very large list of links about 4 posts down in that topic.

Thanks for the helpful replies.

I've seen that website with some old voices yeah. But the truth is I'm after a specific official TT voice called Naoimh (English Ireland) that I have on the GO 6000. TomTom don't officially offer it anymore and I'm unable to find downloads of it online. Perhaps if anyone here has it on their (older) TT and is willing to share?

Naoimh is not a TTS voice.
If it's a specific TomTom voice for your GO Nav4, you won't find it online because it's not possible to download the file.

TTS is not necessary so it's fine, and I've checked on TomTom Home, it does not offer Naoimh.

And I understand what you're saying but this voice was released in 2009 (and it looks like it appeared on Carminat Renault TT as well) which means that this was still during NAV2 and TT Home era, so it must exist.

I don't remember this Naoimh voice being available for a Carminat, so also on Tomtom Home.

Okay, so you have to wait for someone on the forum to read your message and give you this file.

I guess so yeah, but maybe no one will come across this thread :(
Double your odds and find a comparable forum for your (Renault) vehicle.

I have no Renault myself, just a couple of regular NAV2 toms.

I see a NAV2 > Firmware and Device Configuration section on this forum and a TomTom Voices section as being most relevant. Not sure where to post it to, as I don't really see them both particularly active...

It is understandable that the Nav2 section is not very active; there are fewer and fewer users who still own a Nav2 GPS.

I forgot to mention that in TomTom Home, the section for adding voices, traffic, POI etc. are all greyed out. Clicking on one shows a new window about it being an obsolete product and offering an exclusive replacement product.

All Nav2 products are obsolete.

Provided that the Naoimh voice is compatible with your GPS model, you asked Tomtom support if it was possible to add the voice to your Tomtom account.
