POI creation question?

I?m currently using a couple of programs to create a specific category of POI?s. That in itself works just fine, however I?ve come to a point where I would like to be able to continue to add to an existing POI file (as opposed to overwriting the original file).

Question: is there a software program where I can add fresh POI data to an existing file by typing or pasting while saving the original file?

If so that would work out quite nicely. :)

TIA for any constructive input or direction.

I use Tyre:

It will allow you to add pois to an existing file using Google maps to pick the location.

If you have the coordinates another program that works quite well is Poiedit.

To keep the original file intact simply save the ov2 file as another name

Check out Birdman's site for an excellent tutorial on using Tyre for POI's

I believe PoiEdit allows merging of files. Link is here: http://www.poiedit.com/

It's not happening

I've tried appending poi's but when I try to load them into poiedit it wont recognise the file... what am I doing wrong..?
Cheers
