One v3 freezing and switching off

Hi
I wonder if any one has had this prob?
Had my one v3 for a few yrs ! always update it when planning a trip
Never had any probs till now
Today on a trip from Aberdeen to Edinburgh ! it swiched off about 6-7 times
And just froze on occasion too! while in edinburgh kids wanted Mcd's
So looked up restaraunts and found them pressed find and it froze then switched off!
Since getting home the only thing i have done is delete recent dests
As there were a lot of them!
thought i had fixed it?but now i have to start from scratch when starting up!
language,time date,right handed ,home etc
any help much appreciated

Sounds as if you've clicked on 'restore factory defaults'

Have you tried just resetting the unit by holding the power button about 15 seconds till you hear the drum sounds (unless your unit has a dedicated reset hole).

Also, try the Clear Flash tool found here. Run it 3 times:

And, make an Explorer, not Home, backup of your unit's contents. If not sure how, see here:
