old map in go 910

I just bought a go 910 on ebay, it was new but I don't have a receipt or anything to get map updates. It has map version v650.1073 It wont let me make any map corrections or map share. Is it worth the money to buy updated maps, a lot of changes etc. Is map share worth or is it just a gimmick? Thanks for all the help

Mapshare works only with ver 7 maps. The unit's OS though must be upgraded to ver 7 also.

Most of the members here are from the US and Canada and have encounterred many map issues. I am from Europe and never had problems with any map versions. I suggest you keep using your unit with the current map and if you do find many missing roads, etc., then purchase a new map.
