No Voice Android Auto

I can not get To Tom voice announcements through my car speakers. I also run Waze, and voice announcements do come through my car speakers

Under settings -> sounds -> audio output, there are a bunch of channels to choose from. The default has worked for me, but years ago I played with the other channels and found some made no sound at all. Try different options there and see if one of them starts to make sounds.
