XL 310 Canada
When I plan a route with a XL 310 Canada and a route is calculated the display tells me there is no GPS fix. Then states 'waiting for a valid GPS signal' It never gets one. I have updated using TomTom Home.

If you have updated QuickGPS fIX via Tomtom Home, turn on your GPS outside your car in an open area, no trees, no buildings and wait normally, it should find the satellites.

Have never heard of an "XL 310 Canada". There are many XL models, but nothing like that.
What are the first two characters of your serial number? If what you have is a ONE XL, there's some chance that it never received the critical WNRO update.

Had you been using your device successfully since 2019, or has it been in a drawer for a while?

I have attached a copy of the info plate if that helps. I have no information as to its history as I was given it.

To find out the software version installed on your GPS.

In Driving Mode, tap the lower right corner.
The software version is displayed on the right side of the route summary screen.

You must have version 9.541 from 12/19/2018.

If you performed the Quick GPS Fix with TomTom Home, there's still no satellite at least 4.

Check that the battery is fully charged.

If you have an SD card, remove it.

Reset your device.
Using a straightened paperclip, press and hold the reset button for 20 seconds.

Turn on your device.
Then press and hold the power button for at least 5 seconds.

Reinstate the SD card.

Turn on your GPS outside your car in an open area, free of trees and buildings, and wait.
This may take several minutes if the GPS was turned off in one area and turned back on elsewhere.

I was given it. I have no idea when it was last used and how often. It was his passed dad.
