No maps found after updating...

After i update my tom tom go520 ,i could not use the maps i have,it's says.. "you cannot use this map on this device" ,what is the problem ,it has no problem before that,and haw can i fix this??

Was the map originally on the device a legitmate one that came with the device and was the device obtained from a proper retailer or TomTom directly, not through someplace like eBay?

The reason I ask is that sometimes (I am NOT saying this is your situation) a user gets that error and it turns out the previous application was hacked in order to allow for the use of a hacked map. The updated application is more restrictive and won't allow a legitimate applicate to work with a hacked map.
