No Maps Available error on TomTom Go 500

@suresh Please note this is part of a screen print of the USBDeview with part of the serial number blurred.
The full width of the line is 3.3 times longer.
Hi Arno,
Got the details but unfortunately, the device is not identified.

Hi Arno,

It's clear that there's either a physical or logical connection problem since the computer does not recognize your device. I assume your PC also makes no 'usb connect sound' when you plug it in, either?

Time to work with different cables and ports on the computer.

The USB connection service of the TomTom is a very low level thing, and is loaded and running before what you see as the TomTom app is even running. I hope it isn't a 'bricked' device where even boot code cannot execute properly. That is VERY rare for one of these devices. Also rare is a bad internal hardware for USB. Neither are anything we can fix here.

If you have tried multiple cables on multiple computers
if you have uninstalled Mydrive connect.
is that your GO is still not recognized by the computer in my opinion it is your USB socket that has a problem.
