No Clock Showing on Go Superior 7

Hello all
I just got my Go Superior 7 and have found a few gimmicks to use on this device.What amazes me that there is no clock showing on this device, I is hidden in there to work out arrival time but not shown to the driver. I find this interesting that the old Premium did have the clock in the right hand corner but here there is only three dots and no time. Is my device faulty? has anyone here realised the missing time? the most used item is the clock and its just not there. I raised this with tomtom support and they apologised for this and they will escelate this to the people in charge. So can you confirm that your Superior 7 has no clock showing and have you raised this with TT and what did they offer you in reply

No, no hidden clock. It's been a couple of generations since you could find a realtime clock on a TomTom. I guess they figured most recent vintage vehicles already have at least one, and they could use the space on the screen for other things. They haven't been willing to discuss this further for a couple of years.

So any idea why the 'RTC' (I assume 'Real Time Clock') on my Go Premium X shows on the 'Recovery' screen as 'Fri Oct 17 14:01:09 1975' (on 13/12/2025), does it matter, and can it be adjusted (I can see no option for this)?

That's a default value of no consequence. That particular date isn't of any significance in the 'real world', either. Your device will have its internal clock updated when it makes satellite connection.

Why is it SO DIFFICULT to copy across the bit of software code to let us have a clock......let members decide, not taking for granted we all have a clock in our cars.

You have mentioned this several times now, you seem to be obsessed by clocks. Most cars have clocks even my motorcycle has a clock. I also have a clock on my phone and of course my trusty old wrist watch. A lot of pharmacies have clocks outside their shops. We are surrounded by clocks. Why is it so important to have a clock on your sat nav when clock are everywhere around us.

Lets be practical. The whole idea of a navigation device is to get you from A to B and to get you thete OnTime. So its only common sense to put the real time on your device. It should not cost tomtom a penny to put the software back to show the clock. I still cant understand why they removed that. They have taken away the live traffic from us and now the clock . What next?

To arrive on time, you must leave at the scheduled time; the actual time won't get you there on time if you leave late.

So how come that years ago tomtom understood that there should be a clock? What has changed? We still need to know the time . The navigator shows us service stations airports parks libraries toilets and everything else. Just let us know what time of day it is. Its a basic piece of information and should be there instead of the three dots. What do you think?

You already have the arrival time, so there is no need to add the actual time as well.
Furthermore, if TomTom adds the actual time, it reduces the amount of information displayed on the screen.

TomTom assumes, probably correctly, that the vast majority of cars DO have other clocks. I haven't owned one in many years that didn't. Only some 'vintage' vehicles won't have them, and even many of those do.

I am a professional driver using the GO Expert Plus. It is very inconvenient that there is no option to show the current time on the route bar during navigation. Professional drivers depend on the clock for managing driving hours and breaks. Please add this feature in the next software update.

Just as no one forced you to buy the GPS.

You're right. I have no right to decide... especially since neither I nor any of the other moderators here work for TomTom. Perhaps you weren't aware of that?
