TomTom Model(s)
Tomtom GO for Android
Anyone want to be guinea pig and try it out? Anyone notice any changes?

My personal guess is that it will attempt to fix all our map download glitches, in advance of map 840 coming out.

Yup. I did it. Had one problem operate my go did not work. Had to go to the website below and delete the file that it said to do This is the link

TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems - Support home - Select your product

Go down to the error that says when using operate my go and click. This goes to page which tell you what to delete

Unremarkable install. Went through the usual USB device not recognized, just like most days. I've resorted to only connecting once a week or so, just so I don't have to keep resetting the GO. Every time I have to reset it, the next time I connect my phone I have to recreate the Bluetooth on both the GO and the phone. It's pathetic!

Were you updating Home **after** your unit was already connected to the computer with a previous version of Home running?

No, of course not!
The USB problem has been ongoing for months. It is not new, nor was it caused by the Home update. I suspect it has something to do with a Com assignment hard coded by the SW, since I have so many devices installed, but I have not been able find anywhere I can reset it, and I am also not going to reinstall devices to find out.

I posted about a pattern elsewhere on my phone connection.
Any time I use my 930 through HOME I had to let the GPS do the pairing again.
This was not necessary if I put the pone in Always discoverable mode before switching on the 930 which would then announce Connected to . As long as I did not use HOME and switched the GPS on after the phone I could now leave the latter set to Discoverable mode off.

What a pain! Since my phone has pairings to 5 other devices, this is not something I would have to do.

The problem with what I have now is that by the time the GO settles down and I realize that its not going to connect to my phone, I'm already out of the driveway and on the road. I'm in NY state, and several times a week the cop is in the parking lot next door when I leave, watching for speeders. Picking up the phone or fiddling with the GO is not something I want to be seen doing.

I've also had the GO decide to act up and disconnect when I'm on the highway, after it's already been working for a couple of hours. Real inconvenient!

As I was using Home last night to work with ZRP - Routenoptimierung I went through the routine again this morning.

Before I even go into the garage I set the phone for Discoverable mode Always visible. Get in the car, plug in the 930 and press the on switch.
The voice (and display) announce Connected to SCH-u510 and I press the bottom center button of the remote. Again, voice and display announce Remote connected.

At the next stop I reset the phone Bluetooth to Discoverable mode Off and do nothing to either again unless I was connected through HOME.

XXL 540 S did not have any problem connecting to Home 2.7.3.1894
Home was up first on computer
connected my unit
when asked say yes
soon as connected Home checked all updates available for the unit by itself
(i setup that way)
map share and gps quickfix shown as available and was selected by Home
(Home did not do auto download)
many to choose in the advance tab
i chose to install what was selected by Home
went quite fast without any problem and indicated all downloads were done with a checkmark
eject unit from Home
(wait here until the process bar in the unit shows done)
unplug the usb cable
checked and run the unit
favourites and setup settings are all fine did not disappeared

When I check HOME for an update, I get a popup saying, "You are currently using the latest version of TomTom HOME: 2.7.3.754. There is no newer version available." so the version you're referring to must be a Windows version.
