New TT iPhone App Released

If you use TomTom on the iPhone have a look at the App Store as the long awaited version has been released, you get HD Traffic in countries where this is supported (Real Time Traffic in the USA which is different to the HD service we enjoy in Europe). A subscription is required to use the service but can be purched for the odd day up to much longer periods, cheaper than the Live services on the PNDs.
Google search to locate destinations and a very neat volume control for balancing the levels of Navigation instructions and the music when using iPOD.

As they still have the sale price listed it might be time to purchase the app if you have been thinking about it for a while - Mike

Other forums are saying the USA traffic is only $20/year.

Still curious what level of traffic it is?
1) Clearchannel/plus, covering mostly highways and very few sideroads
2) TT740 live traffic, with much more detail, and matching routes.tomtom.com

Other websites are saying the traffic is equivalent to the 740LIVE traffic in the US. Very impressive.

Hopefully the iPhones are sending speeds back to Tomtom, so we get more LIVE coverage on the 740, too.
