Release date: 05/11/25
Software version: 25.200.0007

GO Expert Plus, GO Superior, GO Exclusive, GO Navigator (7”), GO Camper Max (2nd generation), GO Professional, GO Advanced, GO Classic, GO Classic Lite

We have optimized overall performance and stability.

And to help (I hope!) avoid confusion with similar model names from the previous version of hardware, this update covers devices whose serial numbers start with any of the following:

A1, A2, B3, B4 and B7

TomTom is focusing on updating its new GPS devices, not older ones that no longer need updates.

If TomTom adds an option, it will be for the new GPS devices.

That almost certainly could benefit from an update but are now dropped by TomTom in the vain hope we will all buy a new unit.

I see mostly new units no longer get lifetime speed camera updates and possibly other bits.

Tomtom GO Expert Plus – Wi-Fi disconnecting and freezing after latest update

Hello,
I am using a TomTom GO Expert Plus (2023).B52233V01290
After the latest software update, the device started freezing during navigation and the Wi-Fi connection drops constantly.
Before this update everything worked normally.

I performed soft reset and factory reset – the issue remains.

Please confirm if TomTom is working on a new update to fix this problem.
If needed, I can send logs or system information.

Thank you.

Yes, even after updating to version 25.200.0007, the problem persists.

The solution is to wait for TomTom to fix this bug.

Who defines whether an 'older device' (how defined?) needs an update (not new options), when neither the device nor its software have been declared 'End of Life', but TomTom Support pass on a message shortly before I saw this Forum post that a reported problem is a 'known problem' and to wait for a fix, but with no stated timescale.

On this basis, it seems unlikely that a fix will ever be issued to me - TomTom will (should) know my device from my account- and indeed may well have been fixed in this latest release, so this seems disingenuous.

My Go Premium X (ZT Range) is on 24.102.003.411 - 07/05/2024, so over 18 months old. Will this now *ever* get another upgrade? Who knows?

What a way to treat customers@

That's right, your GO Premium is not currently at the end of its lifecycle.

Version 25.200.0007 is not compatible with your GO Premium.

Will there be a new software update for your GO? No idea.

Regarding your internet access problem, have you tried resetting your device to factory settings and then re-pairing your GPS with your phone?

My 'Best Guess' is that my device (not the software) is valid until c.06/2030, but that is hard to determine accurately, and you don't advise on how you know that it is still valid.

If you can point me to a definitive source on this, that would be useful.

So, as stated, 25.200 is not compatible - I want to know if/when I will get an upgrade which is, and I have now asked TomTom directly. Will I ever get a straight answer? That is the problem...

I did not state that I had an Internet access problem from my device. Direct access to Wi-Fi - in my house - for all services is fine, but useless for all practical my purposes!

It is connecting via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Hotspot to a Brand New Androld Smartphone which I am staggering through (sort of) with TomTom Support.

It is Bluetooth which TomTom has - finally - admited has a problem with *data*. The
Phone and device *are* properly paired, and work for voice, but which is the last thing I need!!! I can get that perfectly well on my car Infotainment Unit if I wanted - I don't...

I am now exploring the Wi-Fi Hotspot issues...

All I can come back to - repeatedly - is that TomTom do not, in my personal opinion, provide an adequate support service for documentation, updates and support.
