Entering the WiFi menu gives a blank screen, and a system hang. Shutting down thereafter lasts more than a minute. On the German TomTom forum, others appear to have the same problems with this software update.

The screen doesn't blank out anymore - so far. But I am still unable to load planned routes from my iPhone to my account or unit. I can plan the route on the phone - but there is no option to save the route that I can find. Has anyone else had the same problem?
 
Once you've planned a route on your phone, tap the blue trace, then add to route.
 
I attach a screenshot of where I get stalled. Iv'e tapped on Add to Route - which adds another destination! There is no option to save that I can find!

Thanks. It doesn’t work for me! On my laptop I can scroll down to find a save button. Not on my phone. If I tap on the blue route it just adds another stop on the route. And I am unable to scroll down to the save button. Highly irritating !
 
I have a Go Classic (X5 serial), which is still running on 24.102.0003 (released 14/05/2024) and has not displayed any system software update notification since. I also see that there have been 5 firmware updates since then for Go Classic. Do they not apply to my model or is there something else going on? Maps, on the other hand, receive regular updates (currently on Europe 1155).

X5: is not a GO Classic but a GO Basic, so the latest version is: 24.102.0003 from 05/14/24

Thanks Willy875! You are right and I was misled! For some weird reason, in the "About" section the device identifies itself as "TomTom GO Classic". According to this guide, serial number prefix X5 can exist in both GO Basic and GO Classic, hence it didn't get my attention. However, in the "My Products" section of my TomTom account it is listed as "GO Basic", which is also what is printed on the box it came in (I managed to find it!).
 
The same model was released in North America as the GO Comfort ... another X5 5" model name. The 5" model that came with the RDS receiver is an X7.

The MyDrive PC app only deals with the first two characters of the serial number, and just tosses out a guess as to which of the possible models is connected.
