I read on a post a few years ago that the new Tomtoms at that time do not show community poi's on the driving map ie don't show as you're passing them. Is this still the case with current models. I'm looking possibly a GO Basic 6"

It is partially solved. Although you can have all kinds of Personal POI categories, you can only select six of them shown at any one time.

Thanks for the reply Arno.
Do you get any sound or voice notification when you are approaching one of your own poi's ? Or any of the preinstalled ones?

No proximity notifications for many years. Was one of my preferred features, too!

So they show on the map as you're driving, but no notification, is that correct. It's a pretty backward step !

Yes, there are a lot of the old features that got dropped along the way. Really a disappointment for the power users that really could make good use of them.
