New 920 user and lots of questions and issues

Hi Folks,

Forgive me if these are newbie questions and issues but here we go.

Just got my Tomtom 920 last week and it looks promising but I am having quite a few issues with it.

I am a MAC user runing MAC OS X Leopard, and I am running Tomtom Home version 2.3.0.32.

Allow me to go through my list of questions/issues

1-I understand that the Unit comes with both North American and European MAPS but how do I switch to European Maps?

2-When I click on the "Operate my Device Button" as per image below I get the error message displayed on the following screen. Any idea why? Yes, the device is on the cradle, connected to my computer. I swear that this feature worked just fine when I took the unit out of the box.

3-I get the following error message when trying to backup my Tomtom unit to my MAC:

Appreciate any comments that you can supply.

1. Change preferences--> pg2 manage maps--> switch map--> highlight EU

2. Not sure about Mac, but the latest word is that TTH 2.3 still does not work to Operate My Go.
