when you use a new data card should you keep all the OS, map software and mp3's etc on the new card? so that you effectively do not use internal memory?

Well, for a x20 model, you can use a sdhc card and, if you have firmware 8.3+, your card can be greater than 4-gigs in size.

You needn't put everything on a card as the application wil use the card storage size in conjunction with that of the unit's internal storage.
