Need to free space.

I've a tomtom start 25. I need to free up space as the device is full. How do I get rid of the foreign voices ?

Open MyDrive Connect and look for Manage Community Content.
Open that and it should show you what items can be deleted.

(I have not yet connected a NAV3 device with MDC v4.)

Thanks for the reply. It's not the community voices I want to remove it's the built in foreign ones

I can't get into the device using my drive at the momewnt till this bug is sorted. Any other way ?

So what browser am I best to use with my drive ? I WILL NOT use IE. I have various browsers including firefox, chrome, and maxthon

NO browser. It's a standalone program now. If you want to add POI, click MyDrive at the bottom and it wil use whatever browser you're running by default.

OK Thanks for your help, so how do I uninstall the voices for other parts of Europe I don't need such as Italy, France, Germany etc... ?

Unlike the old Home program, I don't know of any means for doing that with MyDrive. I've seen mixed answers as to whether there is a uSD card slot either on the bottom or near the USB connector. How about yours?

What are you needing to do that requires more memory?

I've just seen that there IS in fact an sd card slot on mine. I've just ordered a card from amazon and will put it in the slot when I receive it. I've no memory left in my satnav so I wouldn't be able to do any further updates. I'll let you know how I get on

It's good that yours has the slot. That will prevent you from having to go from full maps to loading zones of full maps and having to swap them out when you travel.

Given the map situation, minimum recommended is 8GB, and Class 10 is plenty fast enough.

It's a class 10 16gb kingston I bought. Only cost £5. Once again, thanks for the help

When you get it, it will most likely already be formatted. However, your TomTom will want to add its own formatting to the card, so be prepared for that. With the unit off, insert the card, and when you power up, it should ask you if it will be allowed to do that formatting. Agree to that, and you'll have plenty of space for future map updates if they grow beyond the current internal capacity of your Start.

OK Have the card, and it installed fine. However, more problems......Doesn't matter what I try to add whether it's a new voice, colour theme, even a car icon it tells me that this will not fit into space

Just to start at the beginning ... did it offer to format the card? The screen that comes up for this is quite unusual, and you won't have mistaken it for anything else.
