I am unable to add additional maps, I'm in the UK but want to add Belgium, when I click Add > Europe nothing happens just a whirring icon as if it trying to connect to the server. I have heard that the NDS mapping is being discontinued in 2027, perhaps this has someyhing to do with that

Adding a new map shouldn't be a problem; clearing the cache or deleting the data might help.

Where did you hear that the NDS mapping service would be discontinued in 2027?

ChatGPT provided the info

I've tried deleting Cache and Data, but of course it deleted my uk maps and I can't get the maps fpor that either because of the same problem, I rescued it by using clone phone to copy the app over from another phone.

Ive sent an email to TomTom support but not heard anything as yet

Weird?
Delete the app from your phone, then restart it.
Reinstall the app from the Play Store and download the maps again.

did all that, no difference. Playstore doesn't have my version of the Navigator app only TomTom - Maps & Traffic which needs internet access all the time which I don't have I need offline maps

This is an old app which I have used for years, a screenshot of the info about it is attached

3.1.148 is a very old version of the app.
The current version is 3.6.324.
So, go to the Play Store and update to the new version.

You have contacted TomTom; TomTom will provide a response in the form of an update to the new version.

The new version only uses online maps, I see you can buy oofline maps but why should I pay twice. As I said at the very start the version of my maps is being phased out in 2027. My maps may be olde3r versions but I have had 4 updates a year every year. I only discovereds the problem when I tried to add another map to my UK ones

Why pay twice?
The new version of the GO Expert app also uses offline maps.
The map is downloaded to the phone's internal memory.

However, if you wish to keep this older version, you will have to forgo adding new maps.

Because Go Expert aks me for a subscription when I install it. I'm not paying again

Just a quick question: for the application you currently have, you do pay an annual subscription, don't you?

No I paid a one off lifetime licence years ago

Support for this older TomTom Navigation app ended on October 1, 2015.

At the time, users had to request a migration from the old app to the new one.

TomTom offered a special deal:
For existing users who had already paid for the old app, a migration offer was made available for €0.50, providing three years of unlimited navigation.

Since you mention having already contacted TomTom, the best course of action is to wait for their reply.

I'm waiting for support to suggest a solution

I understand; I've had the app for a long time too. The difference is that I switched to the new version, and the maps and speed camera data have always been up to date.

In my opinion, TomTom is going to offer you the new version of the GO Expert app.

Probably but likely to be with the normal annual subscription
