Navcore 7.162 forgets its brightness setting

When my unit screen turns off automatically (as I have it set on my battery saving preferences), touching the screen puts it back to the highest brightness.

The same thing happens when "warn when a poi is nearby" fires off.

Then it stays awfully bright forever and until I go back to my "Change Preferences/Brightness Settings".

Driving with this at night is very dangerous.

Is this a known bug? Am I missing something?

I noticed this too. So I no longer have mine set to 'blank screen' between instructions durning night driving. Instead, I have mine set to the lowest brightness possible at night.
