NA Map 7.15 purchased.. failure when downloading question?

i have
TT GO720
app 7.221
current map is North_America_2GB v705.1481



NA Map 7.15 purchased.
i recieve a failure when trying to update.

is there a work around, or proper way to do this.
i waded through search to no avail. my mind is shot, and i'd like to update before 400 mile trip.

well.. in case this helps anyone else.

opened tom tom home...
backed up the device.
tried a restore, because i really wanted to see if it would work.
removed my map, and some voices.
updated to 7.15

all is good.

followed instructions in sticky, and now have speech recognition.
