My TomTom GO prompts me "Do you want to connect to Computer" as expected, when plug it in to USB with the MyDrive app running.
However I then get a Windows prompt "You need to format the disk in drive E: before you can use it. Do you want to format it". I would not expect this! ... and even if I do say to go ahead, Windows gives an error it cannot format it anyway. MyDriveConnect continues to show as "Not Connected".
So still struggling to get the TomTom recognised on the MyDrive on the PC side, in order to update the advertised available map.

Any feedback would be really appreicated - thanks a lot.

Whoa a second. "Do you want to connect..." sounds like a Nav2 unit.

To the OP: What model do you have? It sounds like you may need to be using Home (the older app) for your GO instead of the newer MyDrive.

And while you're experimenting, DO NOT allow Windows to attempt to format the unit again!
