TomTom Model(s)
go 6000 premium
Good morning everyone, I need your help, please.
My device is a Go 6000 Premium purchased in 2019 or thereabouts.
The My Places stored on the device are no longer visible on TomPlans. I have tried everything but without success. I have also contacted customer service but without any real success.
The strange thing is that on the MyDrive app installed on my smartphone, the synchronisation is perfect.
What could have happened? I would like further clarification... in the last few days, the device has not been logged in because I am afraid that, given that my places are not on Tomplans, if synchronisation occurs, my favourites will also disappear from the device! Is this a possibility that is plausible or technically impossible?
Thank you very much, have a nice day, Nando

Hi,
On the TomTom GPS service, have you checked MyDrive?

Or is it that the login credentials on your GPS and on Plan-TomTom aren't the same?

Solution: Reset the device to factory settings, then re-enter your credentials.

Hi, thank you, everything is fine with mydrive. It syncs perfectly with the device. The GPS definitely has the same password and username as TOMPLANS . I would like too to try a total reset of the GPS, but if I do that, all my places will be deleted from the device. How can I be sure that when I log in again, my places will return to the device? (Since they are not on TOMPLANS.) Does the fact that they are on MyDrive guarantee that they will be transferred from MyDrive to the GPS via synchronisation? thanks a lot.Nando

Yes, I tried the link for Plantomtom again, but unfortunately my locations are not there. I am attaching a photo. In it, you can see the large PC screen with Plan Tom Tom, my smartphone with the MyDrive app and my GPS device at the same time. All have the same username and password. However, the MyDrive app on my smartphone and GPS are identical, with the same screen and the same locations. The PC with Plantomtom, on the other hand, does not show my locations. Nothing. Until a few months ago, they were visible even though I haven't changed anything! What could be the cause? Locations are very important to me because I travel a lot in France and Spain, and it would be a disaster if I lost everything...!

MyDrive or plan.tomtom.com has issues with certain browsers. Try a different browser. Log out of the now used browser and login on the new browser. Google Chrome works best with MyDrive. When using Firefox for instance, it takes a lot longer to load everything.

I have around 300 POI's on my account and it does not give me any issues. I use MyDrive on the browser to plan and both Android phone and a GO Navigator 6" 2nd Gen on the go. No issues on the POI loading.

Hi, thanks, I tried all browsers, including Opera, Chrome, Edge, etc., but nothing worked. I'm curious to understand why everything works on MyDrive (Android app) while TomTom Plans doesn't. I would like to understand whether, ultimately, my Myplaces are stored on the TomTom server, which is what matters, regardless of whether MyDrive shows them to me while TomPlans does not. Perhaps if I do a total reset of the device, everything will work again, but if MyPlaces are not stored on the main TOMTOM server, I risk losing everything. This is my doubt.......

If your locations are visible on the Android app, they're saved correctly.

I think you're not logging in with the correct credentials on TomTom Maps. Have you tried deleting your cookies?

Yes, this morning I tried installing two new browsers and deleting the cookies from the existing browsers, but they still don't work. The only thing that doesn't work is My Places. If I send a destination from Tomplans to GPX, it arrives. If I delete it from both GPX and the website, no problem, it syncs. Only My Places is missing. Do you think that if I do a complete reset, the problem could be solved and My Places won't disappear from GPX as well?

I think I've found your problem.
On Plan-Tomtom, in the map option, have you checked this box?

Yes, I tried many times to check and uncheck those boxes you suggested, but unfortunately myplaces are not visible. It's very strange because, as you can see from the photo, the saved itineraries are visible and synchronise without any problems. Myplaces are not. This morning, for information purposes, I also tried disabling and then re-enabling geolocation on both my various browsers and my PC, hoping that this would solve the problem, but unfortunately it didn't work. I've had 20 years of great satisfaction with many TomTom products, but in the last year I've encountered a series of unexpected problems. Something has changed! Bye, thanks, Nando

The route you're displaying is correctly synchronized with your GPS.
This is just an idea; have you tried unchecking and then rechecking?

I log in and log out many times, just to try and unlock it, but it's incredibly stuck! I'm tempted to do a total reset of the device, but on reflection, I don't see the connection between this GPX reset and this problem, which seems to be on the TomTom server rather than on the device. That is, precisely where we can't intervene! unfortunately ...
