Hello. I have the same problem this morning !

When the Tomtom software students/interns mess with the software you'd think they'd test what they've done before going live? We had a similar issue in February 2024 when they first went live with plan.tomtom the issue then was that *.gpx files wouldn't synchronise with the Tomtom Rider 400.

I've raised a question with Tomtom support, waiting 48 hours for some response. Although I'm not holding my breath, it took them weeks to sort out the #.gpx issue.

Message from Tomtom support reads "thanks for reaching out. This matter has already been shared with the team, and we will update you once we hear back from them. Thanks! ^Jas"

I have the same problem with all three accounts and three navigators. It's a disaster; TomTom is getting worse every day; it seems like they're about to let it die.

The Tomtom Rider 400 was a major expense for me, the deciding purchase factor was cost, the 400 cost £50 less than the Garmin. What with all the frustration of not being able to sync *.gpx files in Feb 2024 and now shenanigans with POI files I wonder...

Tomtom Customer Support are now telling me all manner of smartphone/bluetooth shenanigans and that I need to perform a factory reset when I don't use the Rider 400 with a smartphone. The issue is a fault on the plan.tomtom website. Is that too difficult for them to understand. Somewhere someone has put a spanner in the works without testing the outcome and fecked off for the weekend.

They told me the problem was mine, that I had uploaded corrupted OV2 files and that I had to create another email account because my current one was blocked (it didn't matter that I told them it was happening with three different accounts). The technical support service is getting worse every day.

Apparently, it's a problem with Plan-TomTom, and the issue will be resolved.

Question: Why do I have three accounts?

Question: Why do I have three accounts?
I have three GPS devices, for personal and professional use, and each one has specific POI categories that can't be found on all three GPS devices. With just one account, all the categories would be available on all three devices.
Therefore, and with great regret, my next devices won't be TomTom (after 22 years of loyalty to the brand), as it's not possible to upload POI categories on the new devices.

I have a TomTom Premium GO 6 inch and the same has happened to me today - should I raise a separate support ticket?
I would like to thank everyone on this forum - I would never have known that this problem was being experienced by other people without this forum. Thanks.

YES

Same error here.... I have 1,400 custom pois in one category and like Nikko said, i wont be staying with TT when this device is in the bin. The ability to add custom pois is what made most of us go to TT in the first place..
Think TT has lost the plot with their customers......
Keep custom pois on all devices and customers will stay....!!!
just my opinion....

Just to be clear the custom POI's are on my Tomtom Rider 400 with a backup copy on my PC. The issue is I cannot add more POI or amend the custom POI's on the Rider through plan.tomtom because, I suspect, they broke it!

Perfect timing NOT.

Everyone who is experiencing this issue needs to raise it with Tomtom Support, be firm, be fair, be a bloody nuisance and when advised to do a factory reset tell Support to stop reading the script, get their finger out and sort the problem which is web based and of their making.
