mph to km on navigation system

Just purchased a new car with TOMTOM. Was used to the Garmin system I had previously.
When plotting in a location, current speed etc has in mph. How do I change over to kms?
I have gone into set up. tried language, display, with no luck.
Does anyone have a quick fix to this problem??

Assuming your car came with a GO2535 (unusual - how'd you wangle that?), then...

Settings / Left Arrow / Left Arrow / Units / select as you like

Look for the units icon on your device.

These devices come as default with a English US which makes the Units miles, 6:00 pm, not 18:00 and Fahrenheit. If you use Google a lot, as in 'right-click > What's here' to get coordinates, I would suggest you set the latitudes and longitudes display to (d.d*) too.

I am not asking which dealer is not very customer service oriented but am curious which make and model you got as I had not heard of the GO2535 applied to built in use.
