MPH in One

The gps will always show the accurate speed you are travelling. you're speedometer will show greater than the actual speed, usually between 1 to 4 or 5 mph over.

Neither one (they'd jolly well better be doing their calibrations daily!), but their value should match your GPS value no matter what your speedo reads.

CAVEAT! People have no idea how much they can throw off their speedo readings by changing tires, even when the sizes appear (by the numbers) to be very close. Larger diameter = faster than your speedo is indicating. Smaller diameter = slower. So especially if you have swapped tires to some size other than the original OEM size, you may be off more than you think -- makes the GPS speed reading even more useful!
