MP3 Player errors

My tomtom 910 is starting to give me errors when playing mp3's sometimes.. GPS part no issues. I left it in the sun today, are they very susceptible to heat?

Errors are coming more frequently now!

something like "error during audio playback"

I transfered music to my tomtom by connecting it via the dock to my linux computer and mounting it just like a regular external hard drive. Could this be causing the issue?

No, this is the method I have done. The Mp3 files, are the converted songs from CD or are they downloaded files?
