I notice the device is not connected with a cable in the video. Shouldn't be an issue.

That is another good point the charging cable is not plugged in on the CD Slot Mount but when connected it simply runs down to the lighter/aux socket unlike a window mount cable is not a hazard across the top of dash around steering wheel.

Yes that is correct you simply attach your tomtom window sucker to the CD Slot mount 360° Sticky Pad Disc an any position.
