Dead Go live 1000. Borrowed GO Premium, Phone App
When driving from Crickhowell back to Malvern, I often bypass Abergavenny by taking a detour via a road at Glangrwyney. My Tomtom app doesn't like it because it thinks the road doesn't exist. It's probably been there for decades, if not a century or more. See screenshot and also one from Apple maps, which shows the road.
What's going on?

If we're talking about the same road (I assume Glangrwyney Rd. - taking you down to A465 eventually?), I don't see it missing in the TomTom planner once you zoom up a bit.

Google Maps prefers your route to the A40, BTW.

If you're talking about a different 'detour', please provide the coordinates of the intersection where it begins.

Could this be the problem

@Filbert Check your vehicle profile settings

Thanks for the responses. Yes - that's the road I'm referring to. In the route planning section of the app, I have all "Avoids" turned off and "fastest route" as the default, so I don't think that's the problem. There's nothing in vehicle profile that looks relevant. Just fuel type and max speed.

In any case, I can't see why a bit of road would be missing from the map, even if my options would result in it being avoided in planning. As can be seen from the screenshot, it's just not there in the app on my phone.

It's odd that one Tomtom system shows the road and another doesn't.

Ah yes ok I thought it was for a map installed on a GPS.

Because on the application there is no map version.

On the next map update you will see that the version number is still the same.

I always update the maps whenever a new version is flagged.
