Migrating to a newer TomTom

I have a Go720 that has started to have issues.I wish to get a new VIA160.I have several maps I purchased and have backed up on my computer.Can I load these into the new unit without any major problems.Thanks.:confused:

First, take a long look at that Via 160 feature set and be sure that there aren't things you've been using on the 720 that aren't available on any of the newer models.

And no - you can't move maps between units. The maps are keyed to specific unit serial numbers, and the maps for the Via aren't even in exactly the same format (we don't think).

What's wrong with your 720? Anything we can help with? Mine (knock wood) is still going strong - although I did have to swap out the battery.
