Maps vs Upgrade Tomtom

I "think" I know the answer but am going to toss it out here anyway...

I just bought a Tomtom ONE 125. I am mostly happy since it does what I need it to do.

My question is: If I upgrade to a "bigger" unit will I get better maps or do I just get more bells and whistles?

From reading these forums I get the feeling that all Tomtom models use the same map files. Yes/No?

LOTS of bell and whistles. Larger maps with large pois. Many features that i consider very necessary.But thats just me.
 
In the US, the roads will be the same on all models. Europeans have complained of some rural roads disappearing on lower end models/maps, but so for no reports of this in the US.

Higher end models will have IQroutes, which is time-specific road speeds. This data results in much better congestion avoidance in routing. Up to you whether you consider this a bell&whistle or not.
