I "think" I know the answer but am going to toss it out here anyway...

I just bought a Tomtom ONE 125. I am mostly happy since it does what I need it to do.

My question is: If I upgrade to a "bigger" unit will I get better maps or do I just get more bells and whistles?

From reading these forums I get the feeling that all Tomtom models use the same map files. Yes/No?

LOTS of bell and whistles. Larger maps with large pois. Many features that i consider very necessary. But thats just me.

In the US, the roads will be the same on all models. Europeans have complained of some rural roads disappearing on lower end models/maps, but so for no reports of this in the US.

Higher end models will have IQroutes, which is time-specific road speeds. This data results in much better congestion avoidance in routing. Up to you whether you consider this a bell&whistle or not.
