My new TT Go 520 displays the map the wrong way up - so the arrow is travelling down the screen. Anyone have any suggestions?

Are your2D settings for map pointing North and you are actually traveling in a southerly direction?

Does the same thing happen when tap the 2D/3D toggle arrow above the +/- button?

Yes to both. A reboot seemed to have solved this for a few days (and restored the 3D option which was also not working) but it has reverted back to the same thing.

It almost sounds as if your Settings > Appearance > Guidance View was set to "2D (in direction of travel).
If so, tap "3D" and then th top right button to get back.

Now, without a route planned, the arrow in the left margin will always point North regardless if you use the arrow to toggle between 2D and 3D.
While planning a route, the map always switches to 2D and the arrow disappears, leaving just the +/- button to scale the map.
Once you tap "Let's go" the map will switch to 3D but you can tap the arrow for 2D any time. giving you an overview of the route.
Driving in 3D the route is always to the top of the screen but the arrow gives a true compass indication.

Don't hesitate to ask if there are any questions.

BTW, welcome to TomTomForums.
