map update without tomtom connected?

is it possible to download a new map without the device connected? as i dont have time to leave it connected to a pc.

You can install a downloaded map without using Home but I think the actual download of the map does need the unit connected to the PC.

True. You can start Home, but it won't even suggest what map could/should be downloaded without first having reviewed the inventory of the TomTom itself. To get that far, it has to have one connected.
