Map show only lakes names, no villages

all the names in this map are lakes. Why are no villages shown?
I am driving a car - not a boat!

Try deleting the app on your phone and then reinstalling it.

Well I did as you said, reinstalled. Still only shows lakes

Delete the application that allows you to check that the map is downloaded
And if you zoom in more, what happens?

I need to zoom in very much to see names of roads and villages, but then I have no overview. I only see a few kilometers of the map.
If I want to drive ltes say 100 km and look at the map I can only see lake names, no cities, road names or village names.
Please take away all names of lakes and show names of villages, cities and roads instead.

You do realise this is a user forum and not an Official Tomtom forum.

If you look at your route over 100 km, you would not see the details of the map
In my opinion, the names you see are not the names of the lakes but rather the names of the largest cities.


click on the arrow to see in more detail the names of the cities and streets.

All the names on the map are LAKES. If you look at the names most of them end "sjön", "Sjö" is lake in english

I think that it is how TomTom displays map when zoom level is set that map shows big area - only the biggest towns are displayed with names then. I've checked that in Poland, Mazury region full of lakes and no bigger towns - situation is the same. Names of small towns and villages are displayed only when you zoom the map - I can imagine that the cause for this is that number of names especially in more dense built-up areas could clog the display - so it seems that it's feature ;-P
