I use a program on my pc called map point and the files it uses are .ptm files.

is there a way I can use one of my several map files like that and get it onto my TT1

thanks

i was able to make an itinerary using the program....but i dont know how to now save the points in the itinerary as individual points....i have over 700 push pins on mappoint that I want to save into my tomtom address list

i have read people talking about getting it done...but havent seen something real good at breaking down how to do it

back to the drawing board

Converting Map Point files

Try ITNConv

I don't have Map Point to test but it does say it will open .ptm files and export to TomTom .ov2

yeah i did - all it does it convert an itinerary - so it turns out to be like one huge route..

i cant find a way to just transfer the map file itself - it says it has to be an itinerary - i will keep pluggin away

i meant to say cant sorry

i will try what you mentioned - fingers crossed

sorry for the confusion and thanks for the info

i exported the pushpins as csv file....
but poiedit says the points are "not a valid floating value"

so i'm striking out

i'm using the downloaded version of poi2go....seems to be easier

a lot of editing - to delete the extra spots it found....but at least its working
