Lowrance Baja 480C off topic

I have a Baja 480C in my Jeep for off road trails. About a year ago, it started turning itself on and off at a rapid pace (about 3-4 times a second). I go to get in the Jeep, and find the unit going crazy! The screen flashes and the unit beeps. What can cause this? I tried downloading the latest software and the unit doesn't recognize it.

While you may get a response here, since it is a dedicated TomTom gps forum, I would doubt it.

May I suggest you go to a terrific multi-gps forum, gpsreview.net, which has a dedicated Lowrance forum; you may get more help there.
