Locking the screen when not using

Is there any way to lock the 720 screen when I am not using it? Sometimes, when I leave the car, I want to put it in my pocket for just a few minutes without turning it off....can I do that?

There is a configuration option for "Battery saving preferences". You can uncheck the box that says "Switch off when external power is lost". When you disconnect the car power cable, it won't turn off.

Also, be aware that you can set the unit to return to the screen you were already using at power off when you power back on. That is a "Start-up preferences" option ("Continue where I left off) so that even if the unit is turned off, it restarts where you were.

Go ahead and turn it off. It will pick up where it left off. No need to re-enter a route.
