loaded program to connect via to system but not responding

    have a new laptop and cannot load updates to gps despite reloading program , successful app load but cannot get the gps to show as connected, message reads " device not connected" Have tried multiple times but unsuccessful.

    Do you hear the PC sound for the USB connect/disconnect?
    If not, try a different USB cable.

    Which app did you load on your laptop, TomTom Home or MyDrive? If you have loaded MyDrive, what kind of PC are you using (Windows or Mac?). Are you using the supplied cable? Do other USB devices work on the same port(s) on your laptop?
