Live traffic with built in sim card

direct tomtom anticipation was a big difference!
The operation is the same, the only difference between the two official and unofficial forums is that a Tomtom moderator came to help with the biggest problems.

1. What subscription? I have a lifetime subscription on my go 6200
I have the same question - I have GO6200 which is supposed to have a 'Lifetime' subs for traffic. Is TomTom saying that they have a different definition of 'Lifetime' to to you and me?

You still have lifetime traffic, the only thing that changes is that you have to connect your smartphone to your GPS, either via bluetooth or via Wi-Fi.

I cut my losses today as only used my 6200 a handful of times in the last 4 years. I will keep it just incase i ever get to go abroad again and will then set it up to connect to phone.
so today i changed my beemer map which is crap to android auto and used waze for the first time and its rather quite good and a lot faster refreshing than both tt or the built in bmw map.

So now two devices needed instead of one? Does such use when driving not constitute as illegal use of mobile phone?

Hi , thanks for the DM. As you have not received any email communication or any notification on your GPS unit. This means you do not have to worry about it.

Keep using the device and feel free to reach out to us if you have any challenges/ concerns. We will be happy to look into it.

Cheers! ^Jas

Not a fan of tethering my phone to get my TT to work.
I find it very hit and miss where it connects 1 in 10 times.

I'm wondering about downloading the app to my phone instead as I do prefer TT to Google maps

Are you trying to use Bluetooth or WiFi? Using Android or iOS?

My personal preference for stability is WiFi.

Not very coherent all that?

Will someone please tell me what means 'allow push notifications'?

Unsolicited notifications of something happening. Where are you seeing this?

FWIW, I never allow them. Have yet to encounter a site where I thought I needed stuff in my face that I hadn't specifically requested.

I think user @Non-Tecky is talking about this?
