Lifetime maps on GPS were deleted by updated, payment demanded to restore them

GPS is Via TM1515, PC is running Windows 10, connected via ethernet (not wifi) via a 1.5GB fiber connection.

MyConnect Drive version 5.2.0.5125

Update says I need GPS fix (70kb) and maps update.

The updates fail with SORRY, SOME ITEMS WEREN'T UPDATED.

The existing maps on my device are now DELETED!

When I got to the maps section, my LIFETIME maps account says my maps are expired, and that I need to pay $60 to continue using the product.

I have supposedly opened a problem ticket, although the AI bot did not give a ticket number.

Try a different cable, and if possible, try a different computer.

For lifetime updates, only TomTom Support can reassign them.
Contact TomTom via chat or email.
 
I'm not sure that TomTom understands the concept of lifetime.
