Lcd is too sensitive ...?

Hi All. I 've got my xl 340s for few months now ...and i can't take it any more because it's very hard to enter address destinations ....when i hit 1 letter it enters 2 or 3 ...
How do i fix this ....?

First thing to check is dirt around the screen frame. Take a thin business card and run it all the way around the rim between the frame and the screen to dislodge any dirt that may be adding undo pressure.

Mine is practically brand new ...absolutely no dust...dirt arround ....
Actually ...It's been like that since i bought it ...Bad one...?

The latest 9.x apps slowed down the 340 a bit. You may want to try 8.415.

- First backup your device per here.
- then remove the app from the device in "manage my XL" in home
- then go to "update my XL", it will give you 8.415
- it will then restart the tomtom, and ask you to update again to 9.026 (decline the second update)
- you then have to copy mapsettings.cfg back to your tomtom from the backup. Otherwise you'll lose favorites
- You may need to do this if the tomtom keeps rebooting after these steps.

Tomtom has been releasing about one app 9.x bugfix release per month. Perhaps they'll fix the slowness bug in a future release. Check in here when new apps come out as others may be able to tell you whether things sped up.
