I just went to pick up an item from someone from freecycle and her neighborhood is VERY poorly numbered (some 5200s between 5400s and 5500s) so I decided I'd use my TomTom One to get a lat/long reading to give to her to help other's find her house.

When I got home I plugged the numbers into Google Maps and it is coming up near my house (5 miles away from hers). Am I doing something wrong or is it that inaccurate on TomToms?

The coordinates in question are N39.41331 W77.44469.

Are you sure you used the same measurement values each time? TomTom gives you the choice of showing in degrees, minutes or seconds.

I wrote down what was on the TomTom screen as it was displayed and then copied it into the google search bar and google extrapolated from there.
