I installed my map upgrade the other day as well as the latest firmware.

I noticed a few changes on my trip to Maryland this week.

- When planning a route, the map is not drawn until the route is planned. I assume this allows it to plan the route faster, but it didn't seem that way to me.

- Seems a bit snappier in general. The refresh rate seems decent again on my 720.

- The "new arrival time ... no faster routes available" has been changed to "new arrival time... you are still on the fastest route"

- When viewing the map, you will see little pointers floating around the edge of the map that show the distance/direction to your destination, home, current position. These update as you move the map around. Touching one of these little pointers will take you to the appropriate location. This is really cool. Oddly enough, though, it does not show waypoints the same way.

There may be more, but this is what I can think of off the top of my head. I was very impressed.
