The KMZ is nothing more than a Zip'd version of the KML file, and those are most easily managed with a program we here often used called POIEDIT. It will handle FAR more than your 10 points. I regularly juggle as many as 2500, so I suspect it may handle your problem, although no doubt a bit more slowly.
