Keeps returning to Home

Hi, I entered a new desitination, after the map came up I pressed the done button to get the directions only to find it kept trying to re-route me back to my Home. Tried turning it off, leaving for 30 mins before restarting it and it still defaults to my Home address. Any suggestions.
