Is It Possible To Program The XL to Avoid Minor Roads?

I have an XL which I mainly use when I am getting near my destination, or when I've got lost, and it's great. However I tow a caravan and I would like to get it to avoid minor roads: is there any way I can do this?

Does your planning preferences include the option to avoid unpaved roads? If so, that may help.

No I have the following options:

1) Always plan fastest routes
2) Always plan shortest routes
3) Always avoid motorways
4) Always plan for limited speed

I was told to plan for fastest route rather than shortest route but it still takes me down lanes at times.

The TomTom "Work" map is what you really need as this lets you set the vehicle type, size, weight etc it will then plan routes depending upon the vehicle profile in use, sadly this isn't an option for the XL range AFAIK its only for the Go-x20/30/40 and 50 product lines, its also rather costly.
