iPhone Tom Tom no internet

Hi

I intend to buy TomTom GPS for western Europe for my iPhone 4S.

Will it work with the Internet functionality "roam" turned off?

Yes, should work just fine without a data connection. Just don't put it in Airplane Mode (my iPhone turns off all its signals which is what you don't want when using it as a GPS). The only downsides of turning off data 1) you won't have Live services 2) it may take longer to initially determine your position.

Just as Alfie67 mention, it will work and don't place it on Airplane mode. You only have to to Settings>Network and select Cellular Data to OFF.

I have a related question.

How much data will the iPad app use with traffic and some live service usage for gas prices and such??

Just curious as I am settled on getting an iPad or a mini if that is confirmed with the TomTom app.

I can't imagine that it will be too much but my curiosity has gotten the best of me. TomTom has an example on their website but not for the US just the UK and Europe I believe.
